Saturday Spotlight: Vegan Pastry Lab with Cris Longoria
Tell me a bit about your background. What did you do before starting your business?
Before starting my business I worked corporate jobs, but in my free time I took baking classes and cake decorating classes.
Why did you start your business?
I started because I thought owning a business would give me more freedom but it turned out to be more work. Haha!
What does your business offer?
We offer a full line-up of pastries such as cookies, cupcakes, croissants, and even made to order cakes. We also have a mini market in the store with plant based products including very popular dairy-free cheeses with matching plant-based salamis.
What makes your business special/different?
Our business is fully vegan and great for people with egg and dairy sensitivities. We also have gluten-free and soy-free options.
Who is your target customer?
Our target customer is anyone avoiding animal products.
What made you choose Nyack as the location for your business?
Nyack offers such a sense of community. We love the events and the people in and around Nyack are so nice!
Where do you see your business in the future?
We think there should be a vegan bakery in every town. This helps our environment, our health, and especially saving animals.

Our new store has a lounge in the back so follow us on instagram to stay up to date with upcoming events.
Is there anything else we should know?
Our main store is in Englewood, NJ and after four years we branched out to Rockland County.
