New City, NY – County Executive Ed Day and Superintendent of Highways Charles “Skip” Vezzetti issued a warning to residents in anticipation of an approaching winter storm set to impact Rockland County overnight Monday, February 12th, into Tuesday, February 13th.
The U.S. National Weather Service has forecasted the potential for 11.5” of snow during the storm, with possible impacts including:
- Difficult travel conditions
- Scattered downed tree limbs
- Power outages
- Possibility of blizzard conditions
County Executive Day emphasized the importance of keeping roads clear by reducing traffic: “We urge residents, if possible, to stay off the roads and limit unnecessary travel to ensure the safety of all during the storm.”
