Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) announced that he has secured $50,000 for the Town of Stony Point to make sidewalk improvements in various locations, and an additional $50,000 for the Stony Point Ambulance Corps to purchase AEDs and a radio pillar, and make other key technological upgrades. Both grants will be administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
“One of my primary responsibilities as Stony Point’s State Senator is to ensure your tax dollars come right back home to serve the needs of local residents,” said Senator Skoufis. “I am thrilled to provide this well-deserved support for the all-volunteer Stony Point Ambulance Corps and to buoy the Town Highway Department’s ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety.”
“On behalf of the Town of Stony Point I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to State Senator James Skoufis,” said Town of Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan. “These much needed improvements will enhance the safety of our residents.”
“The ambulance corps greatly appreciates Senator Skoufis’ efforts to help our corps during this difficult time for first responders,” added Stony Point Ambulance Corps Director of Special Projects Alan Horowitz.
Senator Skoufis remains committed to supplying emergency service providers and local municipalities with the tools they need to keep residents safe and healthy.
