Monkeypox Community Outreach
As you are aware monkeypox is spreading in New York State, and cases of monkeypox are presenting in ways not typically seen in past outbreaks. Currently, while monkeypox can affect anyone, it is spreading through skin-to-skin contact (often through sexual contact) primarily among people who self-identify as men who have sex with men (MSM).
We need your help to raise awareness of monkeypox so that everyone can keep their communities safe and sexually healthy.
Please share and distribute the materials listed below in your offices and around the community. Use your local knowledge to best reach people who self-identify as MSM, including but not limited to community gatherings, event venues, bars, clubs, adult campgrounds, social gathering places, and any other local spot unique to your area.
